Fruit-and-Nut Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 Oranges
  • 3 Bananas
  • 1/2 pound White grapes
  • 1/4 pound English walnuts

Instructions

  1. 1Peel three oranges and slice them lengthwise. Slice three bananas thinly. Skin and seed half a pound of white grapes. Blanch and slice the meats of one-fourth a pound of English walnuts.
  2. 2Arrange the prepared fruit and nuts on lettuce leaves. In a small bowl, whisk together four tablespoonfuls of oil, two tablespoonfuls of lemon juice (less if the oranges are sour), and half a teaspoonful of salt. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and serve very cold.
