Nut Cake

Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Butter (Softened)
- 1.5 cups Sugar
- 3 Eggs (Beaten lightly)
- 2.5 cups Flour
- 1.5 teaspoons Royal Baking Powder
- 0.5 cup Milk
- 1 cup Nuts (Any nuts preferred)
Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, rub together the 1/2 cupful butter and 1 1/2 cupfuls sugar until light and white. This will take approximately 5 minutes.
- 2Add the 3 eggs, beaten a little, to the creamed mixture. Mix well. This should take about 2 minutes.
- 3Sift together the 2 1/2 cupfuls flour and 1 1/2 teaspoonfuls Royal Baking Powder. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. This should take about 3 minutes.
- 4Mix in the 1/2 cup milk and 1 cupful of nuts into a rather firm batter. Mix until just combined. This should take about 2 minutes.
- 5Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the batter into a paper-lined tin. Bake in a steady oven for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
