Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, rub the butter and sugar together until light and creamy. This may take a few minutes.
- 2Add the eggs, two at a time, beating for 10 minutes after the first two additions, and 5 minutes after each subsequent addition.
- 3Sift the flour and baking powder together in a separate bowl.
- 4Gradually add the sifted flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and a smooth batter forms.
- 5Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour batter into small, paper-lined tins. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
