Baked Squash

A simple baked squash recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoonful Butter (Originally melted butter.)
  • 2 raw Eggs
  • 3 tablespoonfuls Milk
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • as needed Dry bread crumbs
  • as needed Squash

Instructions

  1. 1Boil the squash until tender. Mash the cooked squash and let it cool completely. This should take about 15 minutes.
  2. 2In a bowl, beat the mashed squash with 1 tablespoonful melted butter, 2 raw eggs, 3 tablespoonfuls milk, pepper, and salt to taste. This should take about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Put the squash mixture in a buttered baking dish. Sift dry bread crumbs over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
