Ingredients
- 8 halves Canned pear halves
- 8 leaves Lettuce leaves (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- 16 cloves Whole cloves (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- 16 almonds Blanched almonds (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- 1/4 cup Canned pimento, thinly sliced (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- 1/2 cup Salad dressing (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
Instructions
- 1Arrange the canned pear halves, round side up, on lettuce leaves, allowing the leaves to curl around the pear to resemble a hood. This will be the base of your sunbonnet baby.
- 2Insert whole cloves into the pears for eyes. Use blanched almonds for ears. Cut thin slices of canned pimento and insert them into the pear to create a nose and mouth. Vary the expressions as desired.
- 3Drizzle salad dressing around the outside of each pear to represent hair. Arrange a bow of red pimento under the chin of each sunbonnet baby. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
