Yogurt Dip or Raita with Peanut Powder
A lightly sweet yogurt dip or raita made with peanut powder. This dish pairs excellently with Sabudana Khichidi or Sabudana vada.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Plain yogurt
- 0.25 cup Peanuts (Roasted and coarsely ground)
- 0.5 unit Cucumber (Grated)
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 unit Green chillies
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- 1Mix a small amount of water into the yogurt and stir until smooth, achieving a consistency that is neither too watery nor too thick.
- 2Lightly roast the peanuts and allow them to cool. Once cooled, grind them coarsely.
- 3Grate the cucumber and add it to the yogurt along with the ground peanut powder. Mix thoroughly, then incorporate the salt, sugar, and cumin powder, adjusting to taste.
- 4The raita or yogurt dip is now ready to be served. It complements any sabudana dish like sabudana khichidi or sabudana vada.
