Yogurt Dip or Raita with Peanut Powder

A lightly sweet yogurt dip or raita made with peanut powder. This dish pairs excellently with Sabudana Khichidi or Sabudana vada.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Plain yogurt
  • 0.25 cup Peanuts (Roasted and coarsely ground)
  • 0.5 unit Cucumber (Grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 unit Green chillies
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Mix a small amount of water into the yogurt and stir until smooth, achieving a consistency that is neither too watery nor too thick.
  2. 2Lightly roast the peanuts and allow them to cool. Once cooled, grind them coarsely.
  3. 3Grate the cucumber and add it to the yogurt along with the ground peanut powder. Mix thoroughly, then incorporate the salt, sugar, and cumin powder, adjusting to taste.
  4. 4The raita or yogurt dip is now ready to be served. It complements any sabudana dish like sabudana khichidi or sabudana vada.
