Pazham Pori/Kerala Ripe Banana Fry

Ingredients
- 3 units Ripe Kerala plantain
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup Sugar
- 0.25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 cups Vegetable oil
- 0.25 teaspoon Baking soda
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 1 unit Egg
- 1 cup Water (Add as needed to form batter)
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, sugar, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well to ensure even distribution of ingredients.
- 2Beat the egg and add it to the dry mixture. Stir to combine thoroughly.
- 3Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, until a thick batter forms. Allow the batter to rest for 1-2 hours.
- 4Slice the ripe bananas into 0.5-inch thick pieces.
- 5Dip each banana slice into the prepared batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
- 6Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium flame. Carefully place the coated banana slices into the hot oil, frying until they turn golden yellow.
- 7Remove the fried bananas from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot as a delicious snack.
