Sweat Banana-Egg Fry/Kaaya Vaattiyadh
A simple and delicious breakfast dish from Kerala, featuring ripe bananas and eggs fried to perfection with coconut oil and ghee.
Ingredients
- 2 units Banana, ripe (Use ripe bananas for best flavor)
- 2 units Egg
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ghee
- 2 tablespoons Coconut oil

Instructions
- 1Slice the ripe bananas evenly. Heat a pan over medium flame.
- 2Add coconut oil to the heated pan. Once hot, add the sliced bananas and sauté until they are soft and golden brown.
- 3Sprinkle sugar over the bananas and mix well. Beat the eggs and add them to the pan, scrambling them and mixing with the bananas.
- 4Add one teaspoon of ghee to the mixture and stir well to combine. Optionally, add grated coconut for extra flavor.
- 5Serve the Malabar Kaaya Vaattiyadh hot, accompanied by tea or coffee.
