Green Beans Stir Fry/Green Beans Thoran
A simple and delicious side dish made with green beans, perfect to accompany rice.
Ingredients
- 100 grams Green beans
- 0.5 handful Onions
- 2 units Green chillies
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 0.5 handful Coriander leaves
- 1 unit Dry red chillies
- 3 tablespoons Coconut, grated
- 0.5 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
- 1Finely chop the green beans to ensure even cooking.
- 2Place a pan over medium heat and add two tablespoons of vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add half a teaspoon of mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
- 3Add the chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, and dry red chillies to the pan. Sauté until the onions are translucent and the mixture is fragrant.
- 4Add the chopped green beans to the pan and mix well. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender.
- 5Add salt to taste and stir well to combine with the beans.
- 6Add the grated coconut and cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Serve hot.
