Cryspy Ladies Finger Fry/Vendakka Fry
A very crispy, spicy, and delicious side dish perfect for pairing with rice. This dish features finely chopped ladies finger, seasoned with spices and fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- 6.5 units Ladies finger (okra), finely chopped (Use 6-7 units, finely chopped)
- 2 units Green chillies, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
- 0.5 handful Curry leaves, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder
- 1 tablespoon Corn flour
- 1 tablespoon Rice flour
- 1 cup Vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped ladies finger, curry leaves, green chillies, and salt. Mix thoroughly to ensure even seasoning.
- 2Add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, corn flour, and rice flour to the bowl. Mix well, adding a small amount of water to form a coating on the vegetables. Allow to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
- 3Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium flame. Once hot, carefully add the marinated ladies finger mixture. Fry until the vegetables are crispy and cooked through.
- 4Remove from heat and serve the crispy ladies finger fry hot, paired with rice and sambhar.
