Rice Dosa
A simple and easy recipe for making traditional South Indian rice dosa, perfect for breakfast or as a main dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups White rice (Use any variety of white rice suitable for dosa)
- 1 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds (Adds flavor and aids fermentation)
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 4 cups Water (For soaking and grinding)

Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, combine the white rice and fenugreek seeds. Cover with water and allow to soak for approximately 4 hours.
- 2Drain the soaked rice and fenugreek seeds. Using a mixer grinder, grind them with salt and enough water to form a smooth, thin batter. Let the batter rest for another 4 hours to ferment.
- 3Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin layer. Cook until the edges start to lift, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
- 4Serve the rice dosa hot with your choice of chutney or curry. Enjoy the crispy texture and delightful taste.
