Sambati Poli (Roti)
Thin and soft roti made of boiled rice, traditionally served with Maasa luqa (chicken curry) and mhaura Lonmiri (tangy fish curry).
Ingredients
- 250 grams Boiled rice (Soaked overnight)
- 1 to taste Salt
- 3 tablespoons Water (Add only if the mixture is too dry)
- 2 tablespoons Ghee (For brushing)
Instructions
- 1Soak the boiled rice overnight in ample water to ensure it is fully submerged.
- 2In the morning, drain the soaked rice and grind it in a wet grinder. Add minimal water, about 2 to 3 tablespoons, only if the mixture appears too dry.
- 3Incorporate salt into the ground rice mixture, adjusting to taste.
- 4Shape the mixture into thin rotis using a roti maker or by spreading on a banana leaf. Cook each roti on a tawa until done. Brush with homemade ghee before serving.
