Hakka Noodles
A popular Chinese dish featuring stir-fried noodles with a variety of vegetables, chicken, and a blend of sauces, offering a delightful fusion of flavors.
Ingredients
- 200 gms Vegetable Noodles
- 100 gms Chicken, diced
- 100 gms Cabbage, diced
- 1 unit Egg
- 50 gms French Beans, diced
- 1 unit Carrot, diced
- 4 units Spring Onion, diced
- 1 unit Capsicum, diced
- 1 unit Celery stick
- 10 units Garlic flakes, paste
- 1 tsp Tomato Sauce
- 1 tsp Chilli Sauce
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 5 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ajinomoto (MSG)
- 3.5 cups Water
Instructions
- 1Boil the noodles in water until al dente. Strain under cold water to stop the cooking process and set aside.
- 2Semi-cook the diced vegetables and chicken separately until just tender. Set aside.
- 3In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté the garlic paste until fragrant. Add the semi-cooked vegetables and sauté for 5 minutes.
- 4Add the cooked chicken and noodles to the pan with the vegetables. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes.
- 5Incorporate the tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soy sauce, salt, and Ajinomoto into the noodle mixture. Sauté for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- 6Beat the egg and cook it in a separate pan to make an omelette. Use it to garnish the noodles before serving.
- 7Serve the Hakka noodles hot, garnished with the omelette. Optionally, add 50 gms of cooked prawns along with the chicken for additional flavor.
