Taro Root Side Dish
A flavorful taro root side dish, perfect to enjoy with rice and curry.
Ingredients
- 3 units Taro root
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 units Dry red chillies
- 2 sprigs Curry leaves
- 1 unit White onions
- 3 tablespoons Coconut oil
- 1 cup Coconut, shredded
- 0.5 cup Water (Just enough to immerse the taro root)

Instructions
- 1Clean the taro root and cut it into small pieces. Place them in a cooking vessel and add turmeric, salt, and red chilli powder. Pour in just enough water to immerse the taro root.
- 2Cook the taro root until the water is absorbed. Add the shredded coconut and stir well to combine.
- 3Heat the coconut oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, chopped onions, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions are translucent and the spices are fragrant.
- 4Add the prepared tempering to the cooked taro root. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Serve hot.
