Sardine Fish Fry

Kerala style fish fry

Ingredients

  • 6 units Sardine
  • 3 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Black crushed pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons Coconut oil (For marination)
  • 6 tablespoons Coconut oil (For frying)

Instructions

  1. 1Thoroughly clean the sardines in water multiple times. Marinate them with turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, black crushed pepper, ginger garlic paste, and coconut oil. Set aside for one hour to allow the flavors to infuse.
  2. 2Heat a pan over medium heat and add coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated sardines into the pan. Fry them for a few minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. 3Once the sardines are fried to a crispy texture, remove them from the pan and serve hot. They can be enjoyed as a main dish or as a side.
