Instructions
- 1Soak the rice and moong dal separately in water for 10 minutes. Clean both thoroughly.
- 2Transfer the soaked rice and moong dal to a pressure cooker. Add water and cook for 4 whistles.
- 3In a separate pan, heat sunflower oil and add chana dal, jeera, black crushed pepper, chopped ginger, and green chillies. Sauté until aromatic. Add curry leaves and sauté briefly.
- 4Transfer the seasoned ingredients to the pressure cooker with the cooked rice and dal. Add salt and mix well. Cook for an additional 4 whistles.
