Peda/Indian Sweet
Peda is an Indian sweet made from khoya/Mawa/Dry condensed milk.
Ingredients
- 250 grams Mawa/Khoya/condensed milk
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
- 4 count Green cardamom pods
- 4 count Pistachios (Chopped for garnish)
Instructions
- 1In a pan, add the crumbled mawa/khoya/condensed milk and cook over medium heat until it turns brown.
- 2Add 3 tablespoons of ghee to the pan and continue cooking until the mixture becomes dark brown.
- 3Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool down.
- 4Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and crushed cardamom to the cooled mixture and mix well.
- 5Shape the mixture into ovals with your hands and garnish with chopped pistachios on top. Serve immediately.
