Kheer/Sweet Rice Pudding
Kheer is a traditional Indian dessert made from rice and milk, offering a rich and creamy texture with the delightful addition of dry fruits.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup White Rice
- 5 cups Regular Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Coconut, grated
- 5 count Cashews
- 5 count Almonds
- 5 count Pistachios
Instructions
- 1In a large pot, heat 5 cups of milk over medium flame for approximately 10 minutes until it begins to boil.
- 2Once the milk is boiling, add 1/2 cup of white rice. Cook for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is fully cooked.
- 3Stir in 1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of grated coconut, and the chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios). Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 4Turn off the flame and serve the kheer hot, garnished with additional dry fruits if desired.
