Step 1
Heat butter in a pan and add the chopped or sliced mushroom into it. Heat on medium-high flame till the mushrooms turn golden brown
Step 2
Add some salt and chili flakes and cook for a few mins. Keep some mushroom aside to add as a topping for the oatmeal
Step 3
Add chopped garlic and chopped onions to the cooked mushroom and cook till the onions turn translucent.
Step 4
Add oats to this mixture and cook for a minute.
Step 5
Add 1 cup water and 1 cup milk to this mixture and cook on a medium flame till it reaches desired consistency.
Step 6
Add some cheese and salt to taste to the oatmeal.
Step 7
Finally serve the oatmeal in a bowl and add the mushroom as topping. Sprinkle some pepper and garnish with chopped scallion, cilantro and grated cheese.
