Galettes
Simple and elegant cookies made with puff pastry, brushed with egg white, and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet (about 14 oz) Puff pastry (Or plain pastry)
- 1 Egg white (From one large egg)
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch (3mm) thick.
- 2Use an oblong cutter (approximately 3.5 inches long by 1.75 inches wide) or a lady-finger cutter to cut out shapes from the pastry. Place the shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with egg white and sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar.
- 3Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 4Let the galettes cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
