Ham Toast

Ham Toast

A simple breakfast, lunch, or supper dish featuring ham and toast.

Ingredients

  • 3 muffins Graham muffins
  • as needed Butter
  • 6 ounces Ham
  • 2 Anchovies
  • pinch Cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cut each graham muffin into 3 slices.
  2. 2Toast the muffin slices until golden brown. Butter the toasted slices.
  3. 3Chop the ham. Pound it with the cayenne pepper and anchovies (washed, free of bones and skin).
  4. 4Use the ham mixture equally spread on the buttered toast. Lay the toast on a baking sheet, with a small piece of butter on each. Set in a preheated oven at 200°F (93°C) to gently warm through.
  5. 5Serve at once, either for breakfast, lunch, or supper.
