Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 2/3 cups Flour
- 3 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 8 Dates, cut fine
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the dates into small pieces. Butter a loaf cake pan.
- 2In a mixing bowl, cream the butter. Add the brown sugar and mix well until combined.
- 3Add the egg, milk, salt, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and dates to the butter and sugar mixture. Beat for 2 minutes until well combined.
- 4Pour the batter into the prepared loaf cake pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
