Orange Tapioca (Two portions)
This refreshing Orange Tapioca is a delightful dessert, perfect for a light and satisfying treat. The combination of tangy orange and lemon juice with the creamy tapioca creates a bright and flavorful experience. Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons Orange juice
- 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 5 tablespoons Sugar
- 2/3 cup Boiling water
- 2 tablespoons Powdered tapioca
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 piece Orange
- 1/2 cup Heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 3 drops Lemon extract
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, stir the powdered tapioca into the orange and lemon juice. Add the sugar and salt. Let the mixture stand for 3 minutes.
- 2While the tapioca mixture is standing, bring the water to a boil. Add the boiling water to the tapioca mixture. Place directly over the heat and stir constantly. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3 minutes.
- 3Peel the orange and break it apart into sections. Line a glass serving dish with the orange sections and pour the cooked tapioca over them. Serve cold with whipped cream.
- 4Beat the heavy cream until thick. Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon extract. Place in a cool place until ready to serve.
