Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized Potatoes
  • 1/2 C Milk
  • 1 1/2 T Butter
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • 1/8 t Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the potatoes. Place the peeled potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Add salt to the water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. 2Cook the potatoes in the boiling salted water until they are tender, about 20-25 minutes, or until easily pierced with a fork. Drain off the water.
  3. 3Pass the cooked potatoes through a vegetable ricer, or mash well with a potato masher. Add butter, salt, pepper, and the milk.
