Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized Potatoes
- 1/2 C Milk
- 1 1/2 T Butter
- 1/2 t Salt
- 1/8 t Black Pepper
Instructions
- 1Peel the potatoes. Place the peeled potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Add salt to the water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 2Cook the potatoes in the boiling salted water until they are tender, about 20-25 minutes, or until easily pierced with a fork. Drain off the water.
- 3Pass the cooked potatoes through a vegetable ricer, or mash well with a potato masher. Add butter, salt, pepper, and the milk.
- 4Beat vigorously, reheat and pile lightly in a hot dish.
