Grapefruit Cocktail
This refreshing Grapefruit Cocktail is a delightful and elegant treat, perfect for a light dessert or a sophisticated appetizer. Ingredients
- 2 pieces Grapefruit
- 6 pieces Green cherries
- 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
- as needed Smilax or fern leaves
Instructions
- 1Peel the grapefruits, removing the white pith and tough membrane, leaving the fruit. Cut the grapefruit into one-inch cubes using scissors or a knife.
- 2Place the grapefruit cubes in a bowl. Add the sugar and allow to stand in a cold place for one hour, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 3Arrange the servings in six sherbet glasses. Place one green cherry on the top of each glass and garnish the plate with smilax or a fern leaf. Stand the sherbet glasses on a paper doily on a small serving plate. Arrange a bit of the green leaf under the sherbet glass (on top of the doily) so that the green color will be visible through the glass.
