Ingredients
- 12 oysters Oysters
- 1 1/2 cups Whole milk
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons Butter
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 egg Hard-boiled egg
- 1/8 teaspoon Paprika
- 2 teaspoons Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- 1Heat the oysters until they are plump. Drain the oysters, reserving the oyster liquor if desired.
- 2In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the flour, salt, and paprika. Mix well to form a roux. Slowly whisk in the milk, cooking until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy, about 2 minutes.
- 3Add the drained oysters to the creamy sauce. Divide the oyster mixture evenly among three well-buttered ramekins. In a small pan, melt the remaining 2 teaspoons of butter. Add the bread crumbs and stir until coated. Sprinkle the buttered bread crumbs over the oyster mixture in each ramekin.
- 4Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the ramekins for 15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- 5Remove the ramekins from the oven. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and garnish with slices of hard-boiled egg. Serve immediately.
