Bisi bele bath | ಬಿಸಿಬೇಳೆ ಬಾತ್
A traditional Karnataka dish made with rice, toor dal, and vegetables, flavored with MTR Bisi Bele Bath Powder.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup Toor Dal
- 0.25 cup White Rice
- 6 count Green Beans
- 1 count Onions
- 1 count Capsicum
- 10 count Cashews
- 1.5 tsp Tamarind Paste
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 0.25 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 2 count Carrot
- 1 count Potato
- 4.5 tsp MTR Bisibele Bath Masala
- 1 to taste Salt
Instructions
- 1In a pressure cooker, combine the rice, toor dal, green beans, carrots, and potatoes. Add 3-4 cups of water and cook for about 5 whistles. Set aside once done.
- 2In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee. Add mustard seeds, cashews, curry leaves, diced onion, and diced capsicum. Sauté until the onions are translucent. Stir in the MTR Bisibele Bath Masala powder, tamarind paste, and salt. Cook until the masala is well combined.
- 3Transfer the prepared masala to the pressure cooker with the cooked rice and dal mixture. Cook on a low flame without the lid, stirring occasionally, until well combined.
- 4Serve the Bisi Bele Bath hot, topped with a generous amount of ghee and accompanied by papad.
