Meat Rice/Irachi Chor
This is a simple and easy spicy meat rice that is so delicious!
Ingredients
- 1000 grams Chicken or Beef (You can take either chicken or beef)
- 1 cup Jeerakashala Rice (You can take basmati rice also.)
- 4 tablespoons Ghee
- 3 tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 3 units Onions (Finely chopped)
- 3 units Tomatoes (Finely chopped)
- 4 units Green Chillies (Crushed green chillies)
- 2 tablespoons Ginger Garlic Paste (You can take crushed ginger and garlic also instead of its paste.)
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
- 1 tablespoon Black Pepper Powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 handful Coriander Leaves
- 1 handful Curry Leaves
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 2 cups Water (Warm water)
Instructions
- 1In a deep or slow cooker over medium flame, add the ghee and coconut oil.
- 2Once the oil is hot, add the onions, tomatoes, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Sauté until the onions are soft and translucent.
- 3Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, garam masala, coriander leaves, and curry leaves. Sauté and mix well until the spices are cooked and aromatic.
- 4Add the cleaned chicken or beef to the cooker. Cook for 20-25 minutes, adjusting the time based on the type of meat used.
- 5When the meat and masala are 80% cooked, add the jeerakashala or basmati rice and 2 cups of warm water. Adjust the salt, mix well, and cook until the rice is fully cooked, approximately 5-10 minutes.
- 6Once the rice is cooked, serve the delicious and aromatic Irachichor/meat rice hot.
