Instructions

  1. 1Soak the rice, sesame seeds, and almonds separately overnight. Remove the outer skin of the elaichi and retain only the greenish-black seeds.
  2. 2Remove the outer skin of the almonds and elaichi seeds. Place them in a grinder and powder them. Then, add the soaked rice and grind to a smooth paste. Set aside.
  3. 3Grind the sesame seeds separately to a fine paste. Strain using a muslin cloth or strainer to separate the fiber.
  4. 4Combine both mixtures and place on the stove. Stir continuously to prevent sticking. Cook for at least 30 minutes.
  5. 5In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add 1 glass of cow milk. Once cooked, add sugar and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. 6Add ghee on top of the mixture and mix well.
  7. 7Transfer the pudding to small bowls or a dessert tray. Garnish with chopped dry fruits such as almonds and raisins. Serve your Manni.
