Rava Dosa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rava
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 0.5 cup Maida
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 pinch Black crushed pepper
  • 1 pinch Cumin powder
  • 0.25 inch Ginger (Grated)
  • 1 pinch Asafetida
  • 2 cups Water
  • 0.5 cup Oil (For applying on tava & to pour on the sides of dosa)

Instructions

  1. 1Combine rava, rice flour, maida, salt, black crushed pepper, cumin powder, ginger, and asafetida in a mixing bowl. Gradually add water, stirring continuously, until a thin, watery batter is achieved.
  2. 2Heat a dosa pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Using your hand, scoop the watery batter and sprinkle it onto the pan, ensuring it forms a thin layer with holes. Drizzle oil around the edges and cook until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side to your desired crispness.
  3. 3Remove the dosa from the pan and serve hot. It pairs well with white vattana curry or coriander chutney.
