Basen Laddu/Chickpeaflour laddu/Kadalamavu laddu
This is my daughter's favourite laddu. I always remember her while making this laddu. As my daughter & SIL are outside India it is these memories of them that has us & many other families like us keep going.
Ingredients
- 4 cups Chickpea Flour
- 2 cups Sugar (Sugar powder)
- 0.25 cup Whole Milk
- 1 cup Ghee (Slightly less than 1 cup)
- 0 optional Raisins (Optional, can be added before forming laddus)
Instructions
- 1In a kadai, heat the ghee over medium flame. Gradually add the chickpea flour, stirring continuously, and fry for approximately 25 minutes until the flour changes color. Turn off the heat.
- 2Boil the milk separately. Pour the hot milk into the fried flour and mix thoroughly until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
- 3Once the flour and milk mixture is completely cool, add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Form the mixture into balls to create laddus. Optionally, add raisins before shaping the laddus.
