Coriander Chutney

A fresh and vibrant chutney made with coriander leaves, coconut, and spices, perfect for serving with idli or dosa.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful Coconut, grated
  • 2 tbsp Kala Chana (Fried gram)
  • 2 unit/count Green chillies
  • 1 handful Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 1 unit/count Lemon
  • 2 unit/count Dry red chillies
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp Sunflower oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixer grinder, combine the grated coconut, fried gram, salt, green chillies, and coriander leaves. Add a small amount of water to facilitate grinding.
  2. 2Grind the mixture until it forms a smooth paste. Transfer the chutney to a bowl.
  3. 3Add the juice of one lemon to the chutney and mix well.
  4. 4In a small pan, heat the sunflower oil. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves, and sauté briefly.
  5. 5Pour the prepared seasoning over the chutney and mix well. Serve the coriander chutney with idli or dosa.
