Ingredients

  • 1 unit Bitter gourd (Cut lengthwise)
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons Kashmiri chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
  • 0.25 cup Water (For initial cooking)

Instructions

  1. 1Wash the bitter gourd thoroughly and cut it lengthwise into thin slices.
  2. 2In a clay cooking pot, add the sliced bitter gourd along with water, salt, turmeric, and Kashmiri chili powder. Cook over medium heat until the water is absorbed.
  3. 3Once the water has been absorbed, add coconut oil to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and cook for a few more minutes, allowing the bitter gourd to absorb the flavors.
