Kirsch Jelly

Ingredients
- 0.33 cup Orange juice
- 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Gelatin
- 0.25 cup Cold water (For soaking gelatin)
- 0.5 cup Hot water (For dissolving gelatin)
- 0.5 cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Sherry
- 2 tablespoons Brandy
- 0.5 cup Kirsch (Or to taste, to make 1 cup of strong liquor)
- 2 drops Red food coloring (Or as needed)
Instructions
- 1In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water. Let it stand for 20 minutes to soften.
- 2In a separate bowl, dissolve the softened gelatin in the hot water. Stir until completely dissolved.
- 3In a large bowl, combine the orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, sherry, and brandy. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- 4Add the dissolved gelatin mixture and Kirsch to the bowl. Stir well to combine. Add red food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- 5Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any undissolved gelatin. Pour into a mold or individual serving dishes.
- 6Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until set.
