Bangor Pudding

A simple and comforting pudding made with cracker crumbs, perfect for a cozy dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1.33 cups Cracker Crumbs (Use graham cracker crumbs for a sweeter flavor, or saltines for a more subtle taste.)
  • 4 cups Milk (Whole milk recommended for richness, but any milk will work.)
  • 0.75 cup Sugar (Adjust to taste.)
  • 0.25 cup Butter (Unsalted butter recommended.)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Adds a nice flavor.)

Instructions

  1. 1In a saucepan, combine the cracker crumbs, milk, and sugar.
  2. 2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. This should take about 20-25 minutes.
  3. 3Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract until the butter is melted and everything is well combined.
  4. 4Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes or a larger bowl. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or chilled.
