To Pickle Cucumbers
A recipe for pickling cucumbers.
Ingredients
- 200 or 300 count Cucumbers
- as needed Salt
- as needed Vinegar
- as needed Vine leaves

Instructions
- 1Lay the cucumbers on a dish. Sprinkle with salt.
- 2After 8 or 9 hours, drain the cucumbers. Lay them in a jar.
- 3Pour boiling vinegar upon the cucumbers in the jar. Place the jar near the heat source, covered with vine leaves.
- 4If the cucumbers do not become sufficiently green, strain off the vinegar, boil it, and again pour it over them, covering with fresh leaves. Continue until they become green as desired.
