Instructions
- 1Sift together flour, corn meal, salt, and baking powder. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk and mix into a smooth, rather firm dough.
- 2Flour a clean work surface. Turn out the dough and give it a turn or two quickly. Roll the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut out crackers with a small oval cutter. Prick each cracker with a fork. Lay the crackers on a greased baking sheet. Wash over with milk. Bake in a hot oven at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
