Modernized Flageolets
A simple and flavorful way to prepare canned flageolet beans, enhanced with garlic and olive oil or butter.
Ingredients
- 1 15-ounce can Canned Flageolet Beans
- 0.5 teaspoon Sugar
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Butter (Or 2 tablespoons of olive oil)
- 1 clove Garlic (Optional)
Instructions
- 1Place the unopened can of beans in a saucepan filled with cold water. Bring the water to a boil and let it boil for 5 minutes.
- 2Carefully open the can and drain off the liquid. Transfer the beans to a serving dish.
- 3Add the sugar, salt, and butter (or olive oil) to the beans. If using garlic, rub the serving dish with a cut clove of garlic before adding the beans. Toss the beans in the dish for a minute or two to distribute the flavor.
- 4Serve immediately.
