Pork Chops
These simple pan-fried pork chops are a classic, offering a quick and satisfying meal with minimal effort. The cooking method, using water and a covered pan, creates tender, juicy chops. The savory flavor profile is enhanced by salt and pepper, making this a comforting and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 chops Pork chops
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
- 1Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.
- 2Place the pork chops in a hot frying pan (no oil or fat added). Brown on one side over a moderate fire for about 5 minutes, then turn and brown on the other side for another 5 minutes.
- 3Add the water to the pan immediately and cover with a lid. Reduce the heat to low and let the pork chops steam for 25 minutes, or until cooked through. The steam helps cook the pork quickly and prevents over-browning.
