Step 1
First soak the sabudaana for thirty minutes and then cook it with one and half cup of water by continuous stirring
Step 2
After 5 minutes all pearls of sago will turn transparent and soft which indicates that it is cooked well
Step 3
Now pour 2 cups of milk and cook it untill the kheer turns thick and starchy.
Step 4
Add 1/2 cup of sugar and cook it for 2 minutes .
Step 5
Kheer will turn more thick so turn off the flame when it is in thick but yet in pouring consistency .
Step 6
Add cardamom powder and few strands of saffron...to make it more rich we can add some finely sliced almonds..
Step 7
Kheer is ready .we can serve it chilled or warm...
