Step 1
First heat the ghee in a pan now add wheat flour to it..
Step 2
Now roast the wheat flour in the low flame.
Step 3
When it turn dark golden brown it will start leaving aroma ...this is the time switch off the flame.
Step 4
Now boil 1 cup of water and add in roasted flour...stir it briskly without forming lumps
Step 5
After a minute it will absorb whole water...at this point add 1 cup of sugar and mix it well by stirring continuously..
Step 6
You will see that it has start releasing ghee and leaving sides of the pan
Step 7
This indicate that our aate ka halwa is ready...now put some cardamom powder and serve it hot

I north india during navratras it is served with puri and black chana as a prasad
