Instructions
- 1Steam two medium to large corn cobs in a pressure cooker. Cook them for 3 to 4 whistles with 2 cups of water.
- 2Once tender, remove the corn cobs carefully with tongs and let them cool completely. Carefully remove the corn kernels from the cooked cob with a sharp knife.
- 3Mix the corn kernels with all the finely chopped vegetables. Grate 100 grams of processed cheese into the mixture.
- 4Add 2 teaspoons of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and salt to taste to the mixture.
- 5Take a slice of bread and soak it in water for a second. Press the bread with your palm to remove all water. Add 1 tablespoon of the corn and vegetable mixture onto the bread slice and form a neat ball.
- 6Heat oil in a pan over high flame. Add the prepared balls to the hot oil. Fry until they turn golden-brown and rise to the surface.
- 7Transfer the fried cheese balls with a slotted spoon to a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve hot or warm with a preferred dipping sauce.
