Orange Cake/Orange Pola
A delightful and sweet cake made with ripe oranges, offering a unique blend of flavors from cardamom and strawberry syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 unit Ripe orange
- 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
- 3 units Egg
- 3 tbsp All purpose flour
- 0.5 tsp Cardamom powder
- 3 tbsp Milk powder
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 0.5 cup Whole Milk
- 1 tbsp Strawberry pulp/syrup
Instructions
- 1Place the ripe orange in a pressure cooker with enough water. Cook for 2 whistles on medium flame. Allow it to cool completely.
- 2Once cooled, cut the orange into 5-6 parts, including the skin, and transfer to a mixer grinder.
- 3Beat the eggs and add them to the mixer grinder with the cooked orange. Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, milk powder, all-purpose flour, and half a cup of whole milk. Blend until smooth.
- 4Place a cake pan on medium flame and spread ghee inside. Pour the orange mixture into the pan, cover, and cook for 20 minutes on low-medium flame.
- 5Turn off the flame and allow the cake to cool. Cut into pieces, drizzle with strawberry syrup, and serve.
