Kurumulagitta Chicken/Pepper Chicken

This chicken curry with a taste of pepper is really worth a try!

Ingredients

  • 1000 gms Chicken
  • 3 unit/count Onions (Medium sized onion, finely chopped)
  • 2 unit/count Tomatoes (Medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (Finely crushed ginger)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic cloves (Finely crushed garlic)
  • 3 unit/count Green chillies (Finely crushed green chillies)
  • 2 tsp Salt (Salt is added according to your taste)
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1.5 tbsp Black crushed pepper
  • 3.5 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 handful Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. 1In a pan over medium heat, add coconut oil. Once heated, add the onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and salt. Sauté until the onions become translucent.
  2. 2Add the turmeric powder, coriander leaves, and black crushed pepper to the pan. Mix thoroughly to combine the flavors.
  3. 3Add the cleaned chicken pieces to the pan. Stir well to coat the chicken with the onion masala.
  4. 4Cook the chicken on medium heat for 20 minutes until fully cooked. Serve hot with rice or chapati. If using a pressure cooker, cook for 3 whistles.
