Carrot Halwa/Carrot Aluva
A special dessert which is simple to make and tastes like heaven!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Carrot, shredded (Peel off the skin and shred the carrot.)
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 2 tablespoons Milk Powder
- 0.5 cup Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 4.5 units Cashew Nuts
- 3.5 units Pistachios
- 0.5 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
Instructions
- 1In a pan over medium heat, combine the shredded carrots, whole milk, and sugar. Stir well to mix.
- 2Allow the mixture to cook on medium heat until the carrots are tender, approximately 5-6 minutes.
- 3Stir in the milk powder and cardamom powder, mixing thoroughly.
- 4In a separate pan, heat the ghee and sauté the cashew nuts and pistachios until golden. Transfer to the carrot mixture and combine well.
- 5Allow the halwa to cool or refrigerate for 1-2 hours for optimal taste. Serve with your favorite ice cream.
