Andhra Style Green Chilli Chicken
Chicken cooked along a bunch of green goodness!!
Ingredients
- 500 gms Chicken with bones
- 2.5 tbsp Oil
- 0.25 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Black crushed pepper (Powdered pepper)
- 1 tsp Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 0.25 cup Coriander leaves (Chopped)
- 0.25 cup Mint leaves (Pudhina leaves chopped)
- 0.25 cup Green chillies (Slit chillies - Adjust as per spice tolerance)
- 0.5 handful Curry leaves
- 2 unit/count Onions
- 1.5 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 0.5 tsp Cumin powder
- 0.25 tsp Garam masala
- 0.25 cup Curd

Instructions
- 1Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and black crushed pepper for at least 4 hours.
- 2Blend one onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, and garam masala to form a smooth paste.
- 3Heat oil in a deep-bottom pan, add one medium onion sliced, and sauté until softened.
- 4Add the marinated chicken pieces, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes on medium flame. Flip the pieces after 5 minutes for even cooking.
- 5Add the green paste to the chicken, mix well, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- 6Add thick curd, mix well, and cook for another 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
- 7Garnish with fried green chillies, fried curry leaves, lemon slices, and freshly sliced onions before serving.
