Ingredients
- 1 cup Moong Dal (Small yellow lentils or yellow split mung beans)
- 3 cups Wheat Flour
- 1 tbsp Kasoori Methi
- 0.5 tsp Chilli Powder (Red chilli powder)
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 0.25 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 1 spoon Oil
- 1 cup Water
- 0.25 tsp Hing (Asafetida)
- 25 pinches Chaat Masala (20-30 pinches)

Instructions
- 1Soak the moong dal in water for 3 hours to soften.
- 2Using a food processor, grind half of the soaked moong dal into a coarse paste, leaving the other half whole.
- 3In a large bowl, combine the wheat flour, kasoori methi, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander seeds, salt, hing, the coarse moong dal paste, whole moong dal, and oil. Mix thoroughly.
- 4Gradually add water to the mixture and knead into a tough dough.
- 5Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes. Make small pores on each piece to prevent puffing during frying.
- 6Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Deep fry the shaped dough pieces until golden brown and crispy.
- 7Sprinkle chaat masala over the fried baati for enhanced flavor.
