Tulasi Kashaya/ Decoction/ Tea

A soothing decoction of Tulasi, ginger, and turmeric, traditionally used as a remedy for cough and cold.

Ingredients

  • 10 leaves Tulsi leaves
  • 1 inch Ginger, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Jaggery
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions

  1. 1In a vessel, combine water, Tulsi leaves, ginger, and turmeric powder. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. 2Continue boiling for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup of milk to the decoction and stir well. The Tulsi kashaya is now ready to serve.
