Porridge for Kids

A healthy and fully loaded porridge for toddlers made from 9 ingredients, including medicinal herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Short-grain rice
  • 1 cup Whole wheat
  • 1 cup Whole Finger Millet
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 0.5 cup Moong Dal
  • 0.5 inch Vacha (Acorus calamus, dried and powdered.)
  • 0.5 cup Toor Dal
  • 1 glass Milk (For mixing with the porridge powder.)
  • 2 tablespoons Jaggery or Honey (For sweetening.)

Instructions

  1. 1Carefully wash all the ingredients separately and sun dry them for approximately three days.
  2. 2Using a mixer grinder, powder all the dried ingredients. Mix thoroughly and store in an airtight container.
  3. 3Mix 2 to 3 tablespoons of the powdered mixture with 1 glass of milk. Boil while continuously stirring. Add jaggery or honey for sweetness. The consistency should be similar to porridge. Adjust the quantity of the powder as needed.
