The filtered portion of rice. Very light to digest.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Short-grain rice
  • 14 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. 1In a large pot, combine the short-grain rice, cumin seeds, and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the rice is fully cooked.
  2. 2Once the rice is cooked, carefully strain the liquid from the rice using a fine mesh strainer. The strained liquid is known as manda.
